This hive is great

Ever since I started converting my hives to insulated, I have had better overwinter rates, increased honey yields, and more opportunities for splits. The bees don’t have to spend time heating or cooling the hive, so they can spend more time doing what they do best.

My only wish would be some kind of feeder system since the only real way to feed now is an internal frame feeder. I’d rather have a top of the hive feeder, similar to my Apimaye hive.

Got these to replace the wooden ware in two older hives. Really is a difference in the hives. Seem to be more active because they don't have work as hard maintaining tempature. Going to keep an eye on them and compare against older hives this winter. Will know more as time progresses . They are a bit easier to maintain.

Im most impressed with the design, but the construction quality is excellent as well! It was very easy to put together and I really like the strength to weight ratio! The bees took to it with no problem in very very hot summer weather and I’m anxious to see how it performs this winter. I only wish that it was adapted to be able to use a OA vaporizer.

Excited to see how it holds up compared to wood hives, may change my direction
